I've always associated eggs with Easter, but I never really knew what they mean or why. Below is a short description of the meaning of Easter eggs:
Eggs are a symbol of new life. Some people compare the broken shell of an egg to the opening of Jesus' tomb during the Resurrection, representing the new life of all mankind.
In regards to dying eggs, there isn't a symbolic meaning or reason behind the tradition, other then just decorating them for fun. Many churches (including mine) give out red eggs on Easter. They are meant to illustrate the blood Jesus shed on the cross. ❤️
